Sunny Butter Beans
Beans are a good source of essential B vitamins, fiber, protein, and iron. Recent studies have shown that eating beans on a daily basis helps to reduce cholesterol while providing excellent nutrition. When beans are combined with grains, nuts, or seeds they form a complete high-fiber vegetable protein. Beans are a great food for a fat-restricted diet, because most beans contain only 2-3% fat. Beans contain no cholesterol.
Since they are one of the richest sources of fiber they can actually help to lower bad cholesterol levels. Most beans provide long-lasting energy because they contain at least 20% protein and are high in carbohydrates. Although dry beans are great to use, the canned ones are just as good. The canned beans contain all the properties including fiber, protein, potassium and iron.
